Ian Sauer is an aspiring Animation and Visual Effects artist at Drexel University. He specializes in 3D modeling, rigging, character animation, texture work, video editing, graphic design, and much more. He attended SIGGRAPH in LA when he was just a freshman in order to start making connections as early as possible. Ian is highly committed to his work and has taken on any obstacles that are thrown his way. When Ian isn’t hard at work on his work, he likes to spend his free time snowboarding. So much so, that he was voted the Fundraiser Chair of the Drexel Ski and Snowboarding Club. He also enjoys watching and attending Philadelphia sporting events (FLY EAGLES FLY).
Right now, Ian is working on multiple projects for the various classes he is taking at Drexel. Two of the bigger projects include realistic lighting/texturing and complex rigging. The realistic lighting/texturing includes working with the render engine V-ray, where we are trying to create realistic lighting and texturing for displaying a variety of products. The rigging project’s focus is to rig a complex character model to animate in a final thirty second video. He is beginning to plan out the sequence by creating a story board and an animatic. This is to help improve his skills when it comes to pitching new ideas.
Ian is currently living in Philadelphia, PA with his fellow roommates who are also aspiring Animation and Visual Effects artists. He can be contacted via email at [email protected] and via phone number at (443)-643-8500.
